Labour Market Information

Trends

While job opportunities in the field are increasing because of the growing aging population in Canada, it also depends on how the economy is doing. Also, more people have dental insurance to pay for dentures and other dental devices.

However, the demand for dentures has decreased recently due to the popularity of fixed prostheses and dental implants, such as crowns and bridges. The need for modern equipment has gone up and therefore there is a higher demand for dental technologists and technicians instead of dental laboratory bench workers.
