Hello there,

You may want to try contacting the CIC Call Centre to see if they have any additional information on your case. You can contact them here:

1-888-242-2100 (In Canada Only)

Dial 1 for English, Dial 2 for information on Immigration, and then dial "0". Try to call right at 8am, it should be easier to get through.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

From someone with same case as yours, we apply for H&C on January 2004 (also 22 months ago) and every time we check our caso On Line we got the same sequence of messages than you, I just happened to call CIC on Friday , regarding another Issues and I asked the person on the phone about my cae, she told me all the H&C Cases are taking from2 to 3 years, and so far she didn't see any change in my Application...
I guess our best option is to wait patiently...I know is Hard but Hey! Here we are, we are not the only ones...

Take Care and keep us update in your case...!

Hi there!
If there are convincing grounds in an application under Humanitarian and Compassionate category, one should hope for a positive decision as the officers do go through the facts of the case thoroughly. However, there is no appeal against a visa officer's negative decision on such an application. The applicant has to leave Canada after he/she is informed of such a decision or else face deportation proceeding.
So be cheerful, wait for your turn and hope for the best!
