I apply for h&c in 2004 february.have all my family living in canada no one back in my country got an answer back i october 2004,that my file was transfer to the local office and haven't heard from them since called them this is a year now and same answer file in local office.
I have 3 canadian kids not allowed to work as yet and don't know what to do.
I apply for a work permit and they denied it saying that I am still on visitor status, and my file may take up to 48months before I can get an answer.
what is really going on in there, and is this one of the reason why so many people out there doing crime because u come to canada and u put on a long wait and in order to work and then that is when people go to get money the fast way and end up in the wrong environment doing do the wrong things in order to get money to support the family especially those single mothers.
Please tell me what to do, i'm to young a person to be sitting at home.not having an income.

Hello there,
Thank you for sharing your situation with everyone. It is frustrating to wait for a response for such a long time.
Unfortunately, there is no standard processing time that we can provide for you. Each case is different and will be processed by the local Citizenship and Immigration Canada visa office, according to their resources and number of applications they are processing.
We suggest that you may want to contact the CIC Call Centre again to see if there are any updates on your case and if they can let you know how much longer it may takel, and what your options are.
You can contact them here:
1-888-242-2100 (In Canada Only)
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
