The people who can best answer your question would be organizations that provide ESL classes in the Scarborough area.

We have a list of these organizations in our Ontario by Region - Toronto (Scarborough) listings - section:

http://www.settlement.org/sys/regions_detail.asp?doc_id=1003054#LL

Contact them directly to find out more about available classes.

Find out more about ESL classes in our English as a Second Language (ESL) section:

http://www.settlement.org/site/LL/esl.asp

I hope this information is helpful.

See Anna's response. You'll need to contact organizations that offer ESL programs to find out if they have any classes on the weekend.

You can also find some useful links to online and other alternative ESL programs in these articles:

Hi there!
I used to attend an ELT class in Oakville. I liked it a lot.I enjoyed the class very much & the teachers were so nice & friendly. But since I moved to toronto, it's impossible for me to attend the class anymore.
I'm just wondering if there's any Adult Learning Center that offers the same program so i can continue w/ the program. I now live in Lawrence West. The main intersection is Bathurts & Lawrence.
Thank you very much & may God Bless you!

Hello Rbtalactac,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us. It is good to know that you enjoyed your classes.

You can find a listing of ELT programs available here:

What is Enhanced Language Training (ELT)?
http://www.settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?faq_id=4000690

You may also want to dial 211 on your phone for free and speak to an Information and Referral Specialist. They should be able to provide some additional information on where you can find ELT Classes in your area.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

well, there's a new LINC program at TESOC near Lawrence and Birchmount, at 1160 Birchmount Road #1A, with a Conversation Class (level 3/4) in the afternoon (12 - 2:30) if that's what u're looking for.

call TESOC-LINC:
Tel 416 757 6043 ask for: The LINC Coordinator

there are regular f/t and p/t LINC classes as well, for Literacy thru level 5.
