Hi,

I started my citizenship application last month and asked my lawyer to take charge.

Yesterday, he informed me that i still miss the photograph.

However, i left Canada a week ago and can not back in this month.

I wonder that if i could take photo in other countries then use it for citizenship application.

In citizenship application photograph requirements, it needs the name of photographer and address of the studio.

It doesn't mention that the photo must be taken in Canada.

Therefore, i put up this question and ask for help on this one.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

According to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Call Centre, the photos do not necessarily have to be taken in Canada, however, there are certain requirements and guidelines that need to be met.

You can find the requirements of the photos on the CIC Website in the Citizenship application photograph specifications section.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
