The HOST Program is a "befriending" program. The goal of the program is to create friendships between newcomers and volunteers from the local community.

Local Community Information Centres keep lists of local ethno-cultural organizations and other community groups. Contacting the Centre in your area is a great place to start.

Where can I find information about festivals and arts and culture attractions?
Artistic and cultural festivals occur throughout the year and can showcase a particular art form or the arts of a particular ethnocultural community.

What is Black History Month?
Black History Month is an opportunity to share the historical and present contributions of Black Canadians.
