It enables partners to educate investors by offering them high-quality educational content to use, and by providing funding support to non-profit and community organizations.

For some newcomers to Ontario, the idea of investing money is brand new. You may wonder what investment really means, or why people invest their money?

The Newcomer Investor Education Kit includes information newcomers need to know when taking their first investment steps in Ontario. These guides will not tell you what to invest in or give you investment advice. However, the kit will give you information about the types of investments available in Canada, how to get reliable and informed advice, what to do if you have a complaint, as well as your roles, rights and responsibilities as an investor.

This kit will help newcomers, like you, better understand the investment environment and what it means to invest your money. It will help you to find resources or help you make better choices about what role investing will play in your personal financial strategy.

The Newcomer Investor Education Kit is available in seven languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Pilipino (Tagalog), Russian, Spanish and Urdu.
