Why We Partner

The Settlement.Org web sites attract thousands of visitors per month, including newcomers, potential newcomers to Ontario and non-profit professionals. They are all seeking high quality information about settling and living in Ontario. We know we can't do it all alone and we are looking for valued partners to help get good, useful, accurate information to newcomers in Ontario. Sharing promotional and marketing opportunities makes sense and allows us both to reach newcomers and ensure that they get the best information and help.

At Settlement.Org, our goals are to:

• maximize promotional opportunities for Settlement.Org in the non-profit sector and other community groups of interest.
• promote awareness and usage of Settlement.Org to newcomers to Ontario and those who help them in their settlement process.
• strengthen relationships and support for Settlement.Org initiatives.

Why Partner with Settlement.Org?

In addition to the more obvious benefits (increased exposure to newcomers to Canada and increased profile in the immigrant serving sector), Settlement.Org promotional partners will:

• be profiled in the Settlement.Org eNewsletter or from time to time in OCASI publications.
• be featured on a special Promotional Partners page on Settlement.Org.
• have access to Settlement.Org/OCASI networks.
• benefit from co-branding of related Settlement.Org content pages, where appropriate.
• access cooperative advertising and promotion campaigns.

Marketing and Promotion Defined

Our main priority is to bring Settlement.Org and our partners' products or services to the attention of a newcomer audience.

Marketing and promotion activities may include but are not limited to:

• Creating and distributing partnership-related promotional materials
• Creating a web page about the related product
• Highlighting on Settlement.Org (i.e. eNewsletter, Events section, Partners page)
• In-person promotion (i.e. presentations, conference exhibitions, workshops, etc.)

Event Partnerships New!

Have an upcoming conference and want to make sure that newcomers know about it? With nearly 5000 visitors per day, Settlement.Org is the logical choice to help you get the word out. We've started a new, value added partnership to help you get information about your event to newcomers and to help us market our website to your event participants.

With the new Event Partnership, we'll post your event in the Settlement.Org events section along with a link to a page with full event description & logo, including a link to your event website. But that's not all. We'll also post a banner/image for your event at the top of the Settlement.Org Events main page with a link to your event website. For 4 weeks leading up to your event/conference, your event will be front and centre to all visitors to the Settlement.Org Events page. We will also include your event in our eNewsletter.

Plus, we'll post your event on the Settlement.Org/AtWork website, to ensure that agencies serving immigrants also get full exposure to information about your event. We'll also highlight it on the AtWork website front page.

And what do we get? You'll provide us with promotional access at your event or conference. This may be in the form of a free booth, table or space in your event marketplace, or the opportunity to present our website to your participants. We're open to ideas about how we can best promote Settlement.Org at your event.

Terms of Partnership

1. Settlement.Org reserves the right to engage in agreements with or refuse to work with any organization
2. Final editorial authority for promotion on the Settlement.Org websites resides with Settlement.Org
3. Any promotional material placed on the Settlement.Org websites must be clearly identified as that of the partner. Partnership-related material produced for use on Settlement.Org must be agreed upon by the partner
4. All online promotional material must be provided to Settlement.Org in a Settlement.Org compatible format
5. Settlement.Org and partners engaged in online promotional partnerships will receive statistical reports on a agreeded upon schedule
6. Settlement.Org promotional partners with web presence will establish links to Settlement.Org
7. Settlement.Org promotional partners may not use the Settlement.Org logo outside of the boundaries of the partnership without the expressed permission of Settlement.Org
8. Ownership and copyright of all Settlement.Org promotional items (logo, branding, printed material, etc.) provided to the partner remains the property of Settlement.Org both during and after the partnership and cannot be used outside the expressed scope of the partnership.
9. Settlement.Org and its partner shall not create, publish, distribute or permit any promotional material, which makes reference to the other party, without first submitting to the other party such material and receiving consent
10. Settlement.Org and individuals or organizations engaged in a promotional partnership can terminate the agreement at any time with written notice
