General Admission Requirements
To register with CGA Ontario and begin the qualification process for becoming a CGA, you must meet the following general admission requirements:
- be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- be a resident of Ontario (you can apply to have your qualifications evaluated before you come to Ontario; however you need to be resident in Ontario in order to enroll in CGA courses)
- have proficient writing skills in English (be able to use appropriate vocabulary and correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in all written work)
- be bondable (not have been found guilty of any criminal offences)
You do not need a university degree to begin the qualification process for becoming a CGA. CGA Ontario welcomes applicants with a variety of educational backgrounds, including:
- a bachelor's or master's degree
- a college diploma
- some post-secondary credits
- a high school diploma
Overseas Partners
CGA Canada has partner offices in several countries overseas. If you live in one of the following countries, you can begin your CGA professional studies before you come to Canada:
- Bahamas
- Barbados
- Bermuda
- China
- Hong Kong
- St. Lucia
- Trinidad & Tobago
