The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) certifies translators in Ontario. Contact ATIO to find a translator who specializes in the language that your documents are in.

If the ATIO is unable to provide a translator for the language you need, contact COSTI-IIAS Immigrant Services at 416-534-7400. ext. 222, fax: 416-534-2482, or www.costi.org, to arrange for acceptable translation.

If there is no accredited translator for the language you need, the College will accept translations, with a translator's letter, from:

• a consulate, high commission, or embassy to Canada of the country that issued the documents
• a Canadian embassy, consulate, or high commission in the country from which you emigrated
• a translator who works for a federal, provincial, or municipal government in Canada
