Improved Seniors Website Now Available
The Government of Canada has updated its seniors.gc.ca website, a central source of information for seniors, their families and caregivers. The website now features an interactive map with links to programs, services and benefits, among other changes.

Changes to the Canadian Passport Program
Starting July 1, 2013, Passport Canada will introduce the new ePassport which will be valid for 10 years for adults. There will also be changes to the application fees.
Ontario Distance Grant
Starting in 2013-14, the government of Ontario will allow Francophone students who travel a minimum of 80 km to attend full-time studies in French to qualify for the Ontario Distance Grant; no matter where they live in the province.

Changes to the Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship Program Announced
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) have announced the Parent and Grandparent (PGP) program will re-open for new applications starting January 2, 2014. There have been some changes made to the program including new criteria for sponsorship.

Making Changes to Your Income Tax Return
If you have made a mistake with your tax return, you may be able to fix it. After you have received your notice of assessment, you can made adjustments through the online “Change my return” feature or by mailing in a T1 Adjustment Request form.
