How can I pay for health care in my first 3 months in Ontario, or if I don't have OHIP?
While you are waiting for OHIP to cover you, or if you don't have OHIP, you can buy insurance. You can also look for free and low-cost health services at a Community Health Centre.
Private Health Insurance
Some insurance companies sell packages that will cover your health costs during this 3-month period. These insurance plans are designed for people who do not have OHIP.
